An ideal home for families, Apple Tree Cottage is a comfortable yet stylish terraced house, just off of Harbour Street in Whitstable. With three bedrooms over two upper floors, two bathrooms, comfortable lounge, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, plus sunny patio garden, this house offers a central location for your perfect trip to Whitstable.

Please note - As is typical of the age and style of this property, the stairs to the first floor are very steep, the stairs to the second floor are also steep and the bulk head above the stairs is quite low, so if you are tall you may need to mind your head.

Ground Floor:

Entrance door opens into living room, with two sofas, smart TV and log burning stove.

Internal hallway leads to the stairs and dining room.

Dining room with table and chairs, leading through to the kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven, everything needed to cook up a feast or enjoy a takeaway.

Leading through to the bathroom with shower, vanity unit with basin and WC.

The patio garden is accessed from the kitchen, and includes a picnic table and bistro set.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe, and bedside tables, leading to an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, vanity unit and WC.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed, chest of drawers and bed side tables.

Please note - the staircase to the third bedroom on the second floor is accessed via a door in either of the other two bedrooms.

Second Floor:

The stairs open out directly into bedroom 3 with two single beds. This room is ideal for children as it is accessed via the other two bedrooms.

Cotton linens/towels and environmentally friendly soap and cleaning products are provided for use during your stay.

House Rules:

We want you to enjoy your stay as much as possible whilst following our few house rules:

  • Check in is after 3.00pm.
  • Check out is before 10.00am.
  • Smoking in or near the property is not permitted.
  • Parties and events are not permitted.
  • Where dogs are permitted, they are not allowed on any furniture or in bedrooms, and should not be left unattended.
  • We respect our neighbours, and ask you to ensure that noise is kept to a reasonable level, particularly after 10.00pm.
  • Please only use the logs provided for the log burner (available from October to March), as other items can damage the stove and flue.
  • The property should be left in the same condition it was found - clean, tidy, dishes washed/dishwasher running, etc.

This home is in the heart of Whitstable, on a quiet residential street leading off of Whitstable’s famous Harbour Street, with its unique independent shops, restaurants, and galleries only moments away. Just a few minutes and you can reach the harbour and beach too.

Transport

There's a lot to see within walking distance, so if you decide to stay without a car you'll have plenty to do. If you drive, please note that unrestricted free parking can be found on Albert Street and the surrounding streets, subject to spaces available on the day. As the property is in the heart of the town, parking can be busy, particularly at the weekends and in the summer months. There are also a number of pay and display car parks in the town. The buses to Canterbury and beyond run along the main road, so you're moments from where they stop. The train station is ten minutes walk away. High speed trains from Whitstable run straight to St Pancras in just over an hour and round to Dover and Margate in less.
